Somewhere between packing out elk quarters and learning to fly fish, I realized something: I didn’t need to fit into anyone’s version of “outdoorsy.” I could make my own.
I’ve spent a lot of time outside. Sometimes alone, sometimes with people who thought they needed to show me how to do things I already knew. I’ve been handed pink gear I didn’t ask for, second-guessed on trails I knew by heart, and talked over in spaces where I earned my place the same way they did—step by step.
But I kept showing up. Because the wild has always made sense to me in a way the world doesn’t always.
And I’m not the only one.
This blog—Wild on Her Terms—is for women like you and I. The ones who carry their own packs, sleep under stars, and gut their own deer. Or maybe the ones who are just now stepping into the wild for the first time, heart pounding but ready. Either way, you belong here.
This isn’t a space to prove anything. It’s a place to reclaim it.
What You’ll Find Here:
- Honest stories from the backcountry and beyond
- Practical tips for hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, and more
- Gear guides that don’t assume you need it all (or want it pink)
- Encouragement for women navigating male-dominated spaces
- A reminder that “wild” doesn’t have to look a certain way
This isn’t about perfectly filtered campfire coffee or being the most experienced voice in the room. I’m not here to pose or preach. I’m here because I love it out there—and I know you do too.
So welcome to Wild on Her Terms. It’s not polished. It’s not always pretty. But it’s real. And it’s ours.
Let’s get after it.
